There are three more sessions of Side by Side Singing at the Calvary Episcopal Church in Fletcher. The acoustics in the Parish Hall are wonderful. The refreshments provided by the church are yummy. And our Side by Side Singers are outdoing themselves in rounds and songs. Debbie Nordeen and Ruthie Rosauer, Facilitators, switch back and forth between leading songs and playing the piano. Last week we had requests to sing “Let Me Call You Sweetheart,” “Danny Boy” and “Climb Every Mountain.” We hope you will join us on Friday afternoons at 2pm, through and including May 15 and sing ‘side by side’ with us!
Birds were not the only ones singing on Friday, April 10 in Fletcher. Over 60 Side by Side Singers gave rousing renditions of songs such as: Take Me Out to the Ballgame, Oh What Beautiful Morning, Do-Re-Me, This Land is Your Land and Sentimental Journey. Our host, Calvary Episcopal Church, provided refreshments for our socializing afterwards.
We will be singing again each Friday afternoon, from 2 – 3 pm, through and including Friday May 15. As always these sessions are FREE. You do not need to be an experienced singer or able to read music to fully participate.
